Victory Mills - Mrs. Mary Periard Barton, wife of Peter Barton, died yesterday at midnight at the home of her daughter, Mrs. William Hall, after a long illness. She was born in Canada and had lived in Victory Mills for the last 55 years. She was a member of Notre Dame de Lourdes Church.
Besides her husband, survivors include six daughters, Mrs. Arthur Stewart, Mrs. Clarence Hall, Mrs. William Hall and Mrs. Daniel Chiperno, Victory Mills; Mrs. John Adams, Quaker Springs, and Mrs. Vincent Aiardo, Mechanicville; a son, Urban Barton, Victory Mills; two sisters, Mrs. Mina D'Avignon, Schenectady, and Mrs. Camile Miner, Valatia; four brothers, Max, R.E., Emil and Dona Periard, Victory Mills and 11 grandchildren.
The funeral will be held Monday at 9 a.m. at the home of Mrs. William Hall and at 9:30 at the Notre Dame de Lourdes Church, where a Solemn Requiem High Mass will be sung. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery.
