Born in Portland, Ted Monckton had lived in Oregon all his life.
He is survived by sons Gerald and David Monckton both of Portland, Ronald Monckton of Milwaukie; daughters, Mrs. Daryl (Patricia) Rickman of Portland, Barbara Sumerlin of Tigard, Shirley Eggman and Ella Gephart both of Livermore, California; sisters, Pearly Weaver and Joan Bigham, both of Portland and Irene Bubeck of Boring; 21 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
