Catherine A. Hauschulz, age 81, a resident of North Ridge Medical and Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc, entered eternal life on Thursday evening, February 19, 2015 at the care center.
Catherine was born May 24, 1933 in Manitowoc. She was the daughter of the late Benedict and Margaret O'Connor Bartelme. Catherine was a graduate of Lincoln High School with the class of 1951. She had been employed at Silver Lake College for 15 years as the manager of the book store. On May 7, 1955 she married Delmar C. Hauschulz at Holy Innocents Catholic Church in Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on January 16, 2008. Catherine was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. She enjoyed camping in Door County along with gardening and flowers. Catherine also enjoyed her craft work and making wreaths.
She is survived by three children: Karen and Dan Kastner, Appleton, WI; Jean Hauschulz, Manitowoc, WI; John Hauschulz, Milwaukee, WI; five grandchildren: Benjamin, Andrew, Jacob, Aaron, and Christa; one sister: Mary Lou Mahnke, Manitowoc, WI; along with other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents: Benedict and Margaret Bartelme; husband: Delmar; one sister: Margaret Stobber.
Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home. Officiating will be Rev. Dave Beaudry. Burial of the cremains will be at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc. Cremation has taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel. Relatives and friends may call at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m. Following the memorial services a luncheon will be held for relatives and friends at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center located on the south property of the funeral home.
