Henry "Hank" Joseph Schlagenhauser of Dover, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2013 at home.

Mr. Schlagenhauser was born Nov. 5, 1927 in Greentown, Ohio to the late Joseph A. Schlagenhauser and Frances K. Post Schlagenhauser. He served in the United States Marine Corps during WWII and the Korean War, retiring in 1965 after 22 years of service. After his career in the service he worked as a purchasing agent and facility supervisor for Syracuse Research Corp retiring after 19 years. Mr. Schlagenhauser was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church in Dover. He was a member of the Marine Corps League and the American Legion Walter L. Fox Post #2, Dover. Mr. Schlagenhauser enjoyed his family and his Phillies.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Carroll Schlagenhauser, 7/26/2007.

He is survived by two daughters, Harriet Yanero and her husband Richard of Dover, Kathrine Farmer and her husband Gerald of Dover; ten grandchildren, Richard J. Yanero and his wife Laura of Felton, Kenneth A. Yanero and his wife Lori of Felton, Paul B. Yanero of Dover, Diana F. Gosnell of Dover, Sara K. Lyon and her husband, Sean of Dover, Stephen M. Devine, Jr. and his fiancé Tonda Beavers of Dover, Arthur C. Devine and his significant other Ciera Lints of Dover, Gerald W. Farmer and his fiancé Kelly Pierce of Wilmngton, Theresa K. Farmer of Wilmington and Tyler A. Farmer of Dover; ten great-grandchildren, Kenneth R. and Terren A. Yanero of Dover, Ashley R. Gosnell of Dover, Ericka and Taylor Yanero both of Felton and Preston M. Lyon of Dover, Madeline Devine, Ireland Devine, Cameron Lints, and Brody Devine, all of Dover.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013 at Wesley United Methodist Church, 209 S. State Street, Dover, DE. Friends may call from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Friday evening at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road, Dover.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to Marine Toys for Tots Foundation Gift Processing Administrator 18251 Quantico Gateway Drive Triangle, VA 22172
