Mr. Alexander was born November 11, 1948 in Caldwell County to Cline & Grace Haas Alexander. He is survived by his wife, Sandra Wood Alexander, one son, David Kyle Alexander and Chasity, two grandchildren, Ava Gail Alexander and David Hensiek, Jr., two brothers, Gary Alexander and Larry Alexander and wife Joann both of Pfafftown, N.C.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Steve, Dean and Alvin Alexander.
He was a graduate of North Wilkes High School and was a U.S. Army Veteran.
Dale was a member of the Wilkes Rescue Squad for many years holding numerous leadership positions. He was a member of the first Rescue Dive Team and received The Order of the Long Leaf Pine from Governor James E. Holshouser, Jr. for his rescue efforts at the Siloam Bridge Collapse. He was a State E.M.T. Examiner.
Dale received the Ed Bell Extra Miler Award for his work with Old Hickory Boy Scouts.
