MRS. BAKER, 93, CLAYTON, DIES AT MT. STERLING

Clayton, Ill., Aug. 3 .- Mrs. America S. Baker, 93, died Wednesday afternoon at 4 o'clock in Mt. Sterling, where she had resided in a home for aged for 11 months.

The funeral will be held Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock in the Clayton Christian church, with entombment in the Clayton mausoleum, in South Side cemetery.

America Renaker, daughter of George and Elizabeth Wilson Renaker, was born October 16. 1850, in

Grant county, Kentucky. She came with her parents to Illinois in 1851 and they established a home in Concord township. In her early years she attended Ashland school.

At the age of 18 years she united with the Christian church at Clayton. She was married in 1874 to William Royer and a son and daughter were born, both of whom died when young. Mr. and Mrs. Royer lived on a farm in Hancock county, near Augusta, for 10 years,

and in 1884 moved to Brown county. Mr. Royer died in August, 1908, and the following year she moved

to Clayton, which had since been her home. On August 29, 1912, she was married to William Baker who

died in May, 1933. Mrs. Baker was the last member of a family of eight children and she leaves a large number of nephews and nieces.
