Obituary for Peggy J. Abbott
Peggy Jeanine Abbott, age 80, of Flat Rock, Michigan passed away on Sunday, February 22, 2015 at her home.
Friends may visit in the Arthur Bobcean Funeral Home, Inc., Flat Rock Chapel on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at 11:00 am. Rev. Richard Hogan will officiate the service. She will lie instate from 10 until the time of service. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Flat Rock, Michigan.
Born on February 5, 1935 in Grosse Ile, Michigan, she was the daughter of Joseph and Sarah (Darley) Ball. On October 3, 1952 she married Robert Abbott at Faith Lutheran Church.
She was a Custodian for Woodhaven High School until retiring after 21 years in 1995.
Peggy was a member of Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church where she actively participated on the Altar Guild and enjoyed volunteering to help out with any activities going on at church. Peggy was always up to trying anything at least once and loved camping and playing euchre.
She was preceded in death by her parents,her husband, Robert Abbott and her son, Robert.
Surviving are son, Joseph (Debra) Abbott of Flat Rock; daughter, JoAnn (Timothy Scheffler of Flat Rock; daughter, Dawn (Robert) Sanderson of Munith, MI; brother, Joseph (Renee) Ball of TX; sister, Lynda (James) Gilbert of Trenton; grandchildren Jeanine, Christina, Robert, Sarah, Kristopher, Kyle and 6 great-grandchildren.
