SUNBURY — Anthony David “Bubbies” Cooley, 2, whose name means “priceless beloved,” was promoted to angel status and was escorted and serenaded by angels to the realms of glory on Friday evening, Feb. 20, 2015, at Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.
He was born June 18, 2012, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, a son of Timothy L. Jr. and Amy J. (Walter) Cooley, of Sunbury.
The family attended the Sunbury God’s Missionary Church.
Anthony loved music, especially the piano, and conducting and singing, especially “Jesus Loves Me.”
He never had a favorite blanket but rather paper with notes.
Surviving, in addition to his parents, are two sisters, Katrina “Nina,” and Alicia “Ihda,” at home; three brothers, Brandon “Banban,” Jasiah “Nunna,” and Nathaniel “Baby,” also at home; maternal grandparents, the Rev. David and Joyce Walter, of Northampton; paternal grandparents, the Rev. Timothy Cooley Sr. and his wife Ruth, of Middleburg; and maternal great-grandparents, the Rev. John and Betty Walter, of Andreas; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Friends and family will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Beavertown God’s Missionary Church, corner of Creek and Covered Bridge roads, and from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday at the church, followed by the funeral at 2 with the Rev. Jacob Martin and the Rev. Keith Bunch, officiating.
Burial will be in the Mountain View Cemetery, Penns Creek.
Flowers will be appreciated and/or contributions in Anthony’s memory to the Nursery Project of the Sunbury God’s Missionary Church, 820 Susquehanna Ave., Sunbury, PA 17801.

TODDLER DIES AFTER BEING STRUCK IN LEWISBURG WALMART PARKING LOT

KELLY TOWNSHIP — A 2-year-old boy from Sunbury was struck and killed by a vehicle in the parking lot of the Kelly Township, Lewisburg, Walmart Supercenter around 10 p.m. Friday.

State Police in Milton said Anthony Cooley was struck and run over by a 2008 Mazda SUV driven by Deborah Neagu, of Milton, as it was traveling north in one of the parking aisles.

Union County Coroner Dominick Adamo said Cooley was taken to the Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg, emergency room, where he died from the injuries he sustained in the crash.

Cooley was a son of Timothy and Amy Cooley, of Sunbury.
