Thelma Jean Adair(nee Phillips), age 83, of Crete, IL., passed away, after a brief illness, peacefully on Saturday, December 4, 2021, at Franciscan Health Dyer in Dyer, IN with family members by her side.
Born on June 18, 1938 to the late Byrd and Hazel Phillips. She was the beloved wife of the late Thomas Eugene Adair. They were married November 27, 1954.  
Loving mother of Tommy (Jennifer) Adair, the late Mike Adair, the late Tim (Carol) Adair, Kim (Tom) Davis, Genia (Jerry) Cull, Mark (Michele) Adair.  Dearest Grandmother and Great-Grandmother to many.  
Loving sister to the late Georgia (Bob) Beck, the late James (Kay) Phillips, the late JT (Mary) Phillips, the late Frieda (Bill) Phipps, Dennis (Kathy) Phillips, the late Linda (Randy) Lowe, Joyce (Ernie) Miles.  
Loving aunt to many nieces and nephews.
In her earlier years, Thelma loved to can vegetables from her garden, cook for her family and always had a clean house while raising her six children. Thelma worked as a waitress for many years. After retiring, she learned how to line dance, and perfected her craft of woodworking, making many things.  She also loved to play the piano, and she spent many years traveling around the country with a friend.  She developed a close relationship with her neighbors across the street, whom she loved to talk to. She also enjoyed watching and singing along with the numerous religious channels she watched.
Thelma was loved by many and will be deeply missed.
