MAGENNIS, MICHAEL "MIKE" G. - Michael "Mike" G. Magennis, 63, of Riverview, passed away at his residence on Thursday, November 5, 2009. Born in Charlottetown, PE, he was the son of the late Terrance and Marion (O'Donnell) Magennis. Mike was a retired Vice President of Hub Meat Packers with 23 years service. He attended Immaculate Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church, Riverview, was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Knights of Columbus Council # 9270, a member of the Monsignor Roy M. MacDonald 4th Degree Assembly, Moncton, a member of the New Brunswick and Federal Liberal Associations and he enjoyed playing cards, reading and time with his family. Mike will be sadly missed by his daughters, Zina Magennis (Kevin Duff), Ottawa, Sherry Magennis (Frank Cormier), Salisbury; brothers and sisters, Rosella O'Brien (Junior), Morell, PE, Earl (Marie), Elliottvale, PE, Helen Dunning (late Joe), Stratford, PE, Joe (late Marie), Elliottvale, PE, Francis (Faye), Saint John, Leo (Brenda), Mermaid, PE; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Thelma (Spracklin) Magennis (July 2007) and one sister, Rita. Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995), Sunday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. Sharing of Memories and Parish Prayers, Sunday, 8:30 pm. Funeral Mass, Immaculate Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church, Riverview, Monday, November 9, 2009, 11:00 am, Rev. Phil Mulligan officiating. Reception in the Parish Hall following the Mass.
