She was the daughter of James "Jim" McNeese and Myrtle Margaret White. Her father died in Limestone Co., AL before the 1910 census was enumerated. It is not known if he were alive when Mildred was born. Some family members claim he was; others say he died just before she was born. His grave is not marked.
