DE LEON (BBC)- Funeral for Mrs. Ruby Lillian Barekman, 68, was to be at 1 p.m. today in Higganbotham Funeral Home with the Rev. Ralph Heickman, pastor of De Leon First Baptist Church, officiating.

Burial was to be in West End Cemetery at Stephenville.

Mrs. Barekman had served as a nurse 15 years at Stephenville Hospital and at the Tarleton State College heslth center 20 years prior to (her) move to De Leon three years ago.

She died about 6:30 a.m. Wednesday at her home after an apparent heart attack.

She married J. A. Barekman in September 1937 at Stephenville. He died in 1951.

Survivors include two stepsons, Dr. W. H. Barekman of Dallas and Joe Barekman of Brady; two stepdaughters, Elizabeth Barekman of Odessa and Mrs. Virginia White of Lubbock; two brothers, Orus Jones of Abilene and Newman Jones of Sipe Springs; seven sisters, Mrs. Iola Bar(t)on of Sipe Springs, Mrs. Eula Morris of Pampa, Mrs. Oma Myers of Abeline, Mrs. Geneva Harris of Hobbs, N.M., Mrs. Rosa Holder of Clyde, Mrs. Vera Holder of Anson and Mrs. Karie Ruth Thorp of De Leon.
