“Allen A. Cayemberg, age 83, of 2468 S. 18th Street, Manitowoc, died Monday evening, March 26, 2012 at St. Mary's Home, Manitowoc.

He was born on January 7, 1929 in Manitowoc, son of the late Henry and Anna (Havlichek) Cayemberg. Allen was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School, Class of 1947. He was a Veteran of the United States Army serving in Korea from 1951 to 1953. On November 7, 1953 he married the former Thelma Skattebo at St. Andrew Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Allen was employed as a foreman for Hamann Construction Company for 35 years. He enjoyed working in his workshop, making wishing wells, bird feeders, birdhouses and misc. things. He also enjoyed camping and traveling. Allen was a member of Fish & Game, a snowmobile club and the carpenters union.

Survivors include his wife: Thelma Cayemberg, Manitowoc; three daughters and a son-in-law: Cathy Haack and friend Cubby (Randy) Kolbeck Manitowoc, Carol & Bradley Miller, Manitowoc, Ann (Cayemberg) Boyd, Knoxville, TN; a son: Douglas Cayemberg, Manitowoc; a son-in-law: Mark Steeber, Manitowoc; five grandchildren: Susan & James Dorsett, Brian & Selena Pitsch, Ryan Haack, Jeremy & Ashley Boyd; five great grandchildren: Jaylen & Jett Dorsett, Logan & Elizabeth Pitsch, Seth Allen; a brother and sister-in-law: Don & Yvonne Cayemberg, Manitowoc; and a sister and brother-in-law: Nancy & George Gosz, Manitowoc. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.

He was also preceded in death by a daughter: Amy (Steeber) Cayemberg; a sister and brother-in-law: Shirley and Franie Champine and a step brother: Robert (Georgeenne) Dokey.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 30, 2012 at St. Francis of Assisi on Grand, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Dan Felton with entombment at Knollwood Mausoleum, town of Kossuth.

The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Francis of Assisi on Grand, Manitowoc, from 9:30 a.m. Friday, March 30, 2012 until 10:45 a.m.
