PFC James Olin Fogleman, Vietnam Veteran, Native of Graham, NC.

Private First Class James Olin Fogleman was a casualty of the Vietnam War. As a member of the Army Selective Service, PFC Fogleman served our country until May 18th, 1969 in Quang Ngai, South Vietnam. He was 21 years old and was not married. It was reported that James died from small arms fire. His body was recovered. James was born on February 8th, 1948 in Graham, North Carolina. PFC Fogleman is on panel 24W, line 040 of the Vietnam Memorial Wall in Washington D.C. He served our country for one year.

Although I never met you, my father, your first cousin,has told me a great deal about you. You died for your country when I was about seven years old. I know you did that so that I could have the freedoms that I have today. Thank you. Dianna Lynn Fogleman Davis, [email protected].

He served as a Private First Class with 3rd Platoon, Delta Company, 2nd Battalion, 35th Infantry Regiment, 4th Infantry Division, USARV.

He was awarded The Combat Infantryman's Badge(CIB), The Bronze Star Medal with "V" Device for Valor. The Purple Heart Medal for his combat related wounds, The Vietnam Service Medal, The Republic of Vietnam Campaign Service Medal, The National Defense Service Medal and The Good Conduct Medal.
