Anna was employed at Post General Foods for 37 years, retiring in 1985. She attended Battle Creek Central High School and was a lifelong resident of Battle Creek and Lakeview area. She spent the last ten years in East Leroy, Michigan.
She enjoyed her flowers and garden, playing with her children, and great-grandchildren, traveling with friends, and her "adopted" family of friends from her many trips to California. She attended The First Wesleyan Church in Battle Creek.
She is survived by daughter, Dianna (Bob) Shafer, Lake Forest, California; two sons, David (Cheryl) Rose of East Leroy and Randy (Karen) Rose of Richland; grandchildren, Scott (Kristy) Shafer, of Kearney, Nebraska, Melissa Shafer, Tucson, Arizona, Jason (Shannon) Rose, East Leroy, Michigan, Kelli Thompson, Climax, Michigan, Collin Rose, St. Clair Shores, Michigan, Curtis Rose, Austin, Texas; great-grandchildren, Zia Shafer, Christopher and Caitlin Rose, Robert and Nathan Thompson; brothers, Stanley (Delores) Evans and Donald Evans of Battle Creek, Steven (Mary) Evans of Ceresco, and Leroy Evans, Sierra Vista, Arizona; sisters-in-law, Mary Evans of San Antonio, Texas, Madeline Evans of Battle Creek, and Virginia Evans of Jackson, Michigan; many special nieces and nephews and best friend Veda Sheppard of Battle Creek.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Leo Evans, Robert (Winifred) Evans, James (Julie) Evans and Joseph Evans.
Services were Tuesday, March 3, 2015 with Pastor Robert Zuhl officiating. Interment, Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Memorials can be made to the Humane Society and Bronson at Home, Hospice Residence.
The family is being served by Shaw Funeral Home, Battle Creek.
