Barbara Ann (Poorman) Brown, 73, passed away Thursday, February 26, 2015. Born in Marshall, IL, to the late Henry and Reba Poorman, Barbara graduated from Marshall High School in 1959. She was married Jerry O. Brown in 1962, who preceded her in death in 1999. Barbara worked for Pribble Plastics, Sutherland Lumber, and finally retired from Office Depot. A loving mother, sister, and grandmother, she loved life and being around family and friends. Barbara was a fun loving person who made friends everywhere she went and will be greatly missed. Surviving are her sons, Troy Brown of Fort Lauderdale, FL, Todd (Bethany) Brown and Christopher (Lori Danalds) Brown, both of Fort Wayne; brother, Richard (Sue) Poorman of Marshall, IL; sister, Dorothy (Larry) Auler of Terre Haute, IN; and grandson, Evan Brown of Fort Wayne. Service is 10 a.m. Wednesday at D.O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Rd. with calling one hour prior. Calling also 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial in I.O.O.F. Cemetery, New Haven, IN. Memorials may be made to Cancer Services of NE Indiana.
