EAST TROY — Clarence J. Byrnes, 40, of Rte. 3, Elkhorn, died yesterday in Burlington Hospital after a long illness. A life resident of the area, he was a graduate of Elkhorn High School. He married Carol Knapp March 31, 1951, at Elkhorn and they had farmed at East Troy. Surviving are his wife; five children, all at home; his father, Edward Byrnes, East Troy; two brothers; and a sister. The funeral will be at 9:15 a.m. Monday in the Anderson Memorial Home and at 9:30 in St. Peter's Catholic Church. Burial in the parish cemetery.
