WAUKEE - A funeral for Delmar (Donie) Boll, 71, of Waukee was held Sept. 14, 1988 at Fisher Funeral Home at Adel. Mr. Boll died Sept. 10 of injuries received in an automobile accident on Hickman Road one mile west of Interstate 80. Burial was in the Waukee Cemetery.

The son of Harvey and Mary Boll, he was born at Waukee on Feb. 2, 1917. He was a life-long resident of Waukee, and a veteran of World War II. He received the Purple Heart after serving in the 113th Calvary. He was a retired city maintenance employee at Waukee.

He was preceded in death by his parents and by four brothers.

Survivors include two sisters, Marie Crane of Kansas City, Kan. and Marcella Moran of Des Moines; and two brothers, Richard Boll of Arab, Ala. and Merle Boll of Akron, Ohio.
