Peach was 3-years-old when my Mom was born and has always enjoyed telling us that she helped to change many a diaper. They grew up together and stayed close all their lives; close enough that they never hesitated at punishing the three of us kids no matter who we belonged to! I was 34 the last time I met with Peach's disapproval and she still didn't hesitate to let me know about it. But mostly she was happy and outgoing with a great sense of humor. After she and Harold left Baltimore and moved back to Foxville, she began to put out feeders for the birds and got to be quite an expert about the ones she saw at her house. Her cat, Piwacket, learned early that if he catches a bird, not to let Peach know what he'd done. The last time I saw Peach, my Mom and I were leaving her house and she was standing on the back porch waving good-bye. Wish I'd hugged her one more time.
