Daughter of Carl Ludwig Guttau and Christine Bruhn Guttau. Louise came with her parents and two brothers to the United States from Germany aboard the Lessing. They arrived Feb 17, 1882.
Louisa's dress caught on fire when they were burning a field and her stomach was burned. She got an infection from the burn and this is what led to her death. Story was told by her brother, Harry to his children.

Gravesite Details

I took this photo in late 1990's or early 2000's with a 35 mm film camera. So glad I did--the stones have worn so much since then, they are very difficult to read now.
