OKEECHOBEE - Michael Joseph Fahsel died February 26, 2015. He was born August 21, 1949 in Syracuse, New York to Earl and Patricia Nagel Fahsel. Mr. Fahsel proudly served our country in the US Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He received three Purple Hearts and was a member of the Purple Heart Club and the V.F.W. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, fishing and hunting. Mr. Fahsel was preceded in death by his father, Earl Fahsel; and stepfather, Mahin Tawil. He is survived by his wife of seven years, Terese Fahsel of Okeechobee; mother, Pat Tawil of Port St. Lucie; three grandsons, Aiden Moreno and E. J. Moreno of Okeechobee and Mason Moreno of Kendall, Fla.; two granddaughters, Kayla Sanden of Royal Palm Beach and Brooklyn Schorea of Okeechboee; four sisters, Anita Amidon of Marcellus, New York, Melinda Roth of Enterprise, Alabama, Denise Moore of Port St. Lucie and Cherie Bracy of Port Charlotte. Memorial services will be 4 p.m. Saturday, February 28, 2015 at Buxton & Bass Okeechobee Funeral Home.
