Doris founded Granite State Memorials, Inc. in Claremont, NH. She also worked with her husband, Richard E. McCusker and together they owned and operated the McCusker Funeral Home in Claremont, NH until their retirement in 1972. "Dussy", along with her daughter owned and operated a beauty salon in Florida. Recently, she took up art and produced some very lovely paintings.
"Dussy" was a wonderful, supportive wife and mother.
Members of her family include her husband of 70 years, Richard E. McCusker, Charlestown, NH; three daughters, Ann McCusker, Claremont, NH; Joan Johnson and her husband, Ron, Charlestown, NH; Elizabeth McCusker, Bellows Falls, VT; a son, Patrick McCusker and his wife, Carolye, Milford, NH; twelve grandchildren, Heather, Amy, Jessica, Jane, Andrew, Susan, Martha, Marijane, Terry. John, Amanda, Sara, many great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter, three sisters, Lucille Patten, East Millinocket, ME; Claire Ross, Hampton, NH; June Fortin, Claremont, NH and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by two brothers, Rolland Descoteau and Michael Ernest Descoteau.
Interment will be in Union Cemetery.
