Alleen L. Kipfer, 91, passed away Saturday, February 28, 2015 in Fort Wayne. Born in Ossian, IN, Alleen graduated from Ossian High School and was honored as valedictorian of her class. She worked as a secretary with Ron Shaw Insurance Agency for 25 years, retiring in 1994. Alleen also served as the City Clerk of Grabill for more than 20 years. She was a member of the Leo United Methodist Church, a member of the Eastern Star; and the United Methodist Women's Circle. Surviving are her son, Randy (Cheri) Kipfer of Leo, IN; daughter, Kathleen (Steven) Renninger of Fort Wayne; daughter-in-law, Melinda Kipfer of Fort Wayne; 11 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and sister, Gretchen Moore of Ossian, IN. Alleen was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Robert Kipfer; son, Vincent Kipfer; parents, Harry and Metta King; brothers, Paul King; Robert King; Max King; and sisters, Alice Dunlap; and Wanda Mahnensmith. Service is 11:00 am, Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at Leo United Methodist Church, 13527 Leo Road with calling 1hr prior. Calling also at D.O. McComb & Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Rd on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 from 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm & 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm. Burial in Leo Memorial Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the National Alzheimer's Association.
