Marine Cpl. Bryan J. Richardson, 23, of Summersville, W.Va.; assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 25th Marine Regiment, 4th Marine Division, Marine Forces Reserve, Moundsville, W.Va.; killed March 25 by enemy action in Anbar province, Iraq. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his fiancee, Sandy Deal of Summersville; two brothers, Patrick and Nathan; sister, Miranda Richardson at home; and his grandmothers, Virginia Richardson and Edith Huffman, both of Mount Nebo. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 2, at Summersville Baptist Family Life Center with the Rev. Troy George, the Rev. Mark McClung and the Rev. David Gage officiating. Burial with military graveside rites by the U.S. Marine Corps Honor Guard will follow in Spruce Grove Cemetery, Mount Nebo. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Family Life Center. He was serving in Kilo Company, 3rd Battalion, 25th Marines, RCT-2, 2nd Marine Division.

Born Aug. 31, 1981, in Summersville, he was the son of Janie Huffman Richardson of Summersville and Randy Richardson of Mount Nebo.

He was a graduate of Nicholas County High School and Glenville State College with a Bachelor's degree in education.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his fiancee, Sandy Deal of Summersville; two brothers, Patrick of Hominy Falls and Nathan of Richmond, Va.; sister, Miranda Richardson at home; and his grandmothers, Virginia Richardson and Edith Huffman, both of Mount Nebo.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 2, at Summersville Baptist Family Life Center with the Rev. Troy George, the Rev. Mark McClung and the Rev. David Gage officiating.
