Born Nov. 10, 1913, in Bartholomew County, she was the daughter of Johnathan E. and I.V. (Lawrence) Glick.
She was married to Ralph E. Nigh on Dec. 31, 1935. He preceded her in death on April 26, 1977.
A 1932 graduate of Flat Rock High School, Mrs. Nigh had lived in Marion Township and also in Bartholomew County.
She was a retired saleswoman. She worked for the former J.G. DePrez Co., Bryant Roth Furniture, Diana Shop, Lords, Value Shop and the former Morristown canning factory.
She was a member of the Marion Township BP Club, Your Friends and Mine Club, New Life Women's Club and the Hope Moravian Church. She attended New Life United Methodist Church, Fairland, and First United Methodist Church, Shelbyville. She had been a volunteer for the Methodist Home in Franklin and for Shelby Senior Services.
Survivors include a son, Richard Nigh, Shelbyville; a daughter, Mrs. John E. (Janice J.) Harding, Shelbyville; a sister, Elsie Wayman, Nashville; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister and a brother.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Carmony-Ewing Harrison Street Funeral Home.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Robert M. Campbell officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
