THOMASVILLE, N.C. -- Mrs. Betty Lou Hardee Johnson, 59, a resident of 607 Davidson St., died Thursday, Oct. 23, 2003 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, N.C.
She was born in Horry County, July 29, 1944, a daughter of Pink Isaiah Hardee and Flouda Duncan Hardee and had been
a resident of Thomasville most of her life. She was employed by Celand Yarn & Dye and was a member of New Grace Baptist Church. She was a volunteer with Liberty Wood Nursing Home.

Surviving are two sons, Billy Johnson and Jamie Johnson, both of the home; six sisters, Mrs. Augustine Page of Thomasville, Mrs. Mary Stevens of Charleston, Ms. Doris Sawyer of Marion, Mrs. Cindy Childress and her husband
Bobby of Thomasville, Mrs. Sylvia Collins and her husband Glenn of Thomasville, and Ms. Judy Lundy of Myrtle Beach; and two brothers, Carl Hardee and his wife Peggy and Rev. Maxie Hardee and his wife Ruby Jane, all of Marion. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Cecil Hardee and Lloyd Hardee.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 26, at New Grace Baptist Church by the Rev. Ron Mason and the Rev. Maxie Hardee. Burial will be in Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery. The body will remain at J.C. Green & Sons Funeral Home until the hour of service. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. today and other times at the home of Glenn and Sylvia Collins, 215 Fritts Drive.
