OBITUARY: Bourbon News Mirror; April 23, 1908
Mrs. Margaret Miller dead. Margaret Miller, nee Kinzie, was born March 23, 1825, at Frutigen, Bern, Switzerland, and died at her home near Bourbon, Indiana, April 11, 1908. She came with her husband to America and located near Bourbon, Indiana. United in marriage to Gideon Miller, their union was blessed with five sons and five daughters. The husband, one son and two daughters preceded her to the spirit world. In 1852, she was converted to God and united with the evangelical association and remained faithful unto death. She was an earnest Christian, lived the Lord's cause, and was always found at her post of duty. During her four years of severe suffering, she was always resigned and submissive to the will of God and bore her affliction in Christian patience.
She leaves 4 sons, 3 daughters, 58 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren, 3 brothers a, one sister and many friends to mourn their loss.
Those traveling from a distance to her funeral were John Miller, Burton, Kansas. Godfred Kinzie, Kiawatha, Kansas. Edward Miller, wife and son, Phillipsburg, Ohio. Henry Miller and family, Plymouth. Edward Miller and wife, Mishawaka. Maggie Bowman, South Bend, and a number of friends from Bremen. Revs. Buehler and Kaenig conducted the funeral services at Jerusalem Monday morning and the remains were laid to rest in the Sandridge Cemetery.
