Obituary from the July 29, 1922 Greensboro Daily Record: "A.E. BEESON OF FRIENDSHIP DEAD---A.E. Beeson, aged 71 years died at a local at 2:45 o'clock this morning. Mr. Beeson had been under treatment in the hospital here for about four weeks, having been brought here from his home in Friendship. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Mary B. Warren of Kernersville, and Mrs. Levia B. Smith, who resides on the Isle of Pines, CUBA; four sons, W.R. Beeson of Kernersville, L.A., V.E., and P.H. Beeson, all of Friendship; two half-brothers, W.S. Beeson of Kernersville, and C.S. Beeson of Winston-Salem.
The remains were carried to the home in Friendship this afternoon, and the funeral will be held from the Friendship church tomorrow morning at 11 o'clock, Rev. Albert Sherrill officiating."
(Note: Ethan;s son-in-law, Daniel A. Smith, who lived in Cuba, was killed on his plantation on Aug. 1, 1922--just two days after Ethan died. No more information has been found about Daniel or his wife, Levia Beeson Smith.)
