Mario Paul Ysit, Sr. 64 passed away due to a long term illness of cancer, February 26, 2015 at his home in Red Bluff. Mario was born to Apolinario R. & Margaret A. Valerio Ysit, on February 3, 1951, in Sacramento, CA.

Mario joined the US Marine Corps in 1968. He was a commandant for 1 year after joining the Marine Corps League-Tehama Detachment #1140 of Red Bluff. He worked with the young Marines and was involved with Toys for Tots. He is a survivor of Vietnam.

Being an entrepreneur throughout life, a welder, van custom designs and transmissions. He also enjoyed fishing.

Mario is survived by his wife Sheri of Red Bluff; sons, Mario Ysit Jr. of Ripon, CA, Eric Eagle Ysit, Red Bluff, John Difuntorum, Tracy, CA; daughters, Nicole Ysit-Vogt, Modesto, CA, Sheree Ysit-Watson, Red Bluff, CA; brother, Apolinario Ysit, Jr. (Joyce) of Sunol, CA,; sister, Carmen Ysit-Bickers (Larry) of Red Bluff, CA, and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Predeceased is his sister, Elizabeth Ysit (1947-2013) was a resident of Tracy, CA.

Services will be held March 13th, at 11:00am, Igo Veterans Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held at 2 pm at the Red Bluff Veterans Hall, Red Bluff.

The family of Marine Sgt. Mario Ysit Sr., age 64, have requested the Patriot Guard Riders (PGR) and the Shasta Veterans Escort (SVE) escort him to the Northern California Veterans Cemetery (NCVC) on March 13, 2015.

Sgt Ysit served Honorably from 1968 to 1971 with duties in Vietnam and Camp Pendleton. He was awarded the National Defense Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Combat Infantry Badge, Republic of Vietnam Medal with Gallantry Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal and the Marine Sharp Shooter Medal.

The service will be in the Shelter

Stage: 0900 VFW Memorial Hall on Oak Street in Red Bluff

Arrangements are under the direction of Red Bluff Simple Cremations & Burial Service.

He is survived by his wife Sheri, a son Mario P. Ysit (Kami), and his siblings; Ario Ysit (Joyce), Mona Howlin, Carmen Bickers (Larry), and Rose Masters. Preceded in death by his sister Elizabeth (Liz) Majorie Ysit (1947-2013).

He was born in 3 February 1951 in Sacramento, California and raised in Fremont California. He married Susan E Wilkes on 19 Oct 1968 and divorced on 25 Sep 1984. He then married Sheri L Alsabbagh on 29 Nov 1988 in Washoe County, Nevada.
