Jewel Maurine (Holt) Bray of Bethany, OK passed away on March 3, 2015 in Oklahoma City. She was born on December 20, 1922 in Granite, OK to her parents Arthur and Della Estella (Pickering) Holt. Jewel married Sidney Bray on April 17th, 1945 in Oklahoma City. Jewel worked approx. 37 years, retiring from Lucent. Jewel & Sid enjoyed going to the lake, traveling in their RV and dancing. Sid & Jewel enjoyed 55 years together before he died in March 2000. Jewell then went to work for Sam's Club where enjoyed meeting new people. Jewel later moved to Southern Plaza of Bethany where she lived for the last 27 months. She was preceded in death by her husband Sidney Bray; parents Arthur and Della Estella (Pickering) Holt; sister Polly Evans; brothers Harold Holt, Eldon Holt, Tim Holt and Lloyd (Ike) Holt. She is survived by her sons Glen D. Bray & wife Linda of Piedmont and Jack D. Bray of Bethany; sisters Cornelia Sullivan, Alta Mae McElroy, Maxine Roller and Jeanie Head; grandchildren Tina Bray, Tammy Bray Cambron & husband Keith, Kirk Bray & wife Sara; great-grandchildren Katherine (Manos) Herpeche, Rebecca Manos, Briar Frost-Cambron, Courtney Cambron, Jack Herpeche, Greg Herpeche, Edward Pair. Funeral services will be 1:00 pm, Monday, March 9, 2015 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Greg Ball will officiate. Interment will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
