Alice L. Pohanka, 88, of Chenoa, formerly of Princeton died at 1:55 pm, Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington.

Cremation rites have been accorded with a family graveside inurnment to take place in Princeton at a later date. Duffy-Pils Memorial Home; Chenoa is in charge of arrangements.

Alice was born November 14, 1926 in Berwyn, IL; the daughter of Albert and Louise Killian. She married George J. Pohanka Sr. on May 1, 1949 in Chicago. He passed away in 1967. Her parents, one brother and one son, George J. Pohanka Jr. also preceded her in death.

Survivors include one daughter, Alison (Glen) Bailey of Howell, MI; one son, John (Judy) Pohanka of Chenoa; and four grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the family of Alice L. Pohanka.

Alice was one of the biggest “Chicago Cubs” and Chicago sports fans since the mid 1940’s. “This might be the year”!
