She was born Mar 31, 1904 in Sylvania, the daughter of Charles and Fannie Fogleman Sigler. She married Manson A. Wakeland in 1920 in Warren County. He preceeded her in death in 1972. She lived most of her life in the area. She was a supervisor at Kingsbury Ordinance at LaPorte.
She attended the First Christian Church of Veedersburg.
Survivors include two sons, John (Dortha) Wakeland, Logansport and Garnett Gene Wakeland, Veedersbdurg; a sister, Madlyn Hall, Perrysville, 13 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, two sisters and a brother. Services, Dickerson Funeral Home, Don Smothers officiating, burial in Rockfield Cemetery.
