In about 1820, Bartlett Brooks with his adult kids and their families left Prince George County and settled along the Powell River In Claiborne County, TN. Bartlett owned land on north side of the river above Cox's Mil Creek, near site of Brooks Ferry. We can assume that he was buried here or perhaps across the river near his son Hezekiah Brooks.
