Lawrence W. Ziemba, 64, of Vernon, CT; passed away unexpectedly Monday, March 2, 2015. Born November 17, 1950 in Hartford, CT, he was a son to the late Lawrence E. and Shirley (Wilson) Ziemba. Larry was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving 2 tours of duty with the United States Marine Corps. He was a decorated veteran and proud recipient of the Purple Heart. He was employed 15 years for Ellington Agway. He is survived by brothers Thomas and his wife, Maureen, Daniel and his wife, Judy, Michael and his wife Jane Violette and William Ziemba; sisters Kathleen Costanzo and Mary Bartolotta and her husband, Sebastiano; 4 stepdaughters; 2 step-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held from 9:30-11AM on Friday, March 6, 2015 at Ladd-Turkington & Carmon Funeral Home, 551 Talcottville Rd., Vernon with a funeral home service beginning at 11:00AM.
