Juanita Edney Banner Julian, 87, of Bristol, TN, formerly of Elizabethton, passed away on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at Hermitage Health Center following a brief illness. Ms. Julian was a native of Carter County in the Shell Creek Community and was the daughter of the late John and Birdie Johnson Edney. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, James (Jim) Banner on August 30, 1976; her second husband, James N. Julian, Jr. on November 7, 2000; and a daughter, Doris LaDonna Catts on May 16, 2012.

Ms. Julian was retired from East Tennessee Undergarment Company and a graduate of Cloudland High School. She loved gardening, flowers, and selling at the flea market.

The funeral service for Ms. Julian will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Saturday, April 6, 2013 in the Chapel of Peace at Tetrick Funeral Home of Elizabethton, with Rev. Bryan Smith officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM in the funeral home chapel, prior to the service. Music will be under the direction of Jilian Clark Reece.

The graveside service will follow at Happy Valley Memorial Park.
