Kristy Lynn (Williams) Ratcliff, 35, went to be with the angels on the 17th of February 2015.
Kristy was born on May 7, 1979. She was raised and resided in Caldwell, ID and was a graduate of The Class of 1997 at Vallivue High School.
Kristy had a passion for taking care of those with physical and mental disabilities. Kristy went on to meet her husband Alan. After several years of marriage and trying for children, they were finally blessed with 2 beautiful children. After her son was born she devoted her time to being a full time mom. Her son struggled with many health issues and Kristy was his advocate. When things didn’t seem right she would spend hours doing research and figure out what was wrong. She loved being able to be with them.
Kristy loved camping, fishing and crafting. One of her favorite hobbies was making hair bows for her daughter. We could always count on seeing her newest creations for her daughter at family gatherings. Kristy always loved to give back in any way she could, she volunteered at her daughters school and would help at functions to assist people in need.
Kristy is survived by her husband, Alan Ratcliff; children, Skarlett & Gavin Ratcliff of Caldwell; parents, Charles & Linda Williams of Ontario, OR; grandfather, Larry Erickson of New Plymouth, brother, Chuck and wife, Dawn Williams and their children, Launie, Lezli, Lynzi, Layci, Andrew and Aubree of Caldwell; sister, Kelly and her husband, Rick Bowden, niece and nephew, Katelynn & Nick Bowden of Parma and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Kristy has always been a private person about her personal life but she loved helping people so as we say goodbye to Kristy with heavy hearts, we would like to say something that’s hard to say: If you are a person who has depression, anxiety, panic attacks, pain etc. and you take medication and you think just one more pill will help you get through the day, it won’t. If you’re that person’s doctor, listen when a family calls, we don’t need you to say anything, just listen. Medication is a tool, not the answer. Stop and get help. Look at your children and imagine what their life will be without you. Kristy leaves behind a 4 and 3 year old who will never know how much she loved them.
A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at 2:00PM at Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.
