HIGH POINT- David Scott Culler, 49, of 1168 Sweetbriar Road, died Sunday night, Feb. 20, 2005, at High Point Regional Hospital, where his wife and family surrounded him. Funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Emerywood Baptist Church by Dr. Robert U. Ferguson Jr., and Dr. Harold C. Warlick Jr. Interment will be in Floral Garden Park Cemetery. He was born on May 6, 1955, in High Point, the son of Roy B. Culler Jr., and Dorothy Pegram Culler. He was a loving, devoted and caring son. He was employed with Braxton Culler Inc., for 29 years as a purchasing agent. He was an automobile enthusiast, being a member of the BMW car club. In that club, he involved himself in the Virginia International Raceway and Road Atlanta. He participated in a number of road events and was in the process of trying to qualify as an instructor. He was a member of Emerywood Baptist Church and in the past had served on many committees in the church. In May 1983, he married Amy Gail Grimes, who survives of the home. He was a devoted husband for 21 years. Surviving in addition to his wife are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Roy B. Culler of High Point; two brothers, R. Braxton Culler III, and wife Ashley and Robert R. (Randy) Culler and wife Heidi, both of High Point; one sister, D. Gayle Culler of Afton, Va.; six nephews and nieces, R. Brac Culler V., Josh Culler, Robert (Skip) Culler Jr., John Culler, Kimberly Culler Combs and Katie Culler. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at Sechrest Funeral Home on East Lexington Avenue.
