Alma Perry Schafer of Campton, Kentucky widow of the late John Schafer departed this life Saturday, June 1, 2019 at the age of 79 years and 22 days. She was a daughter of the late Leander and Autina Shoemaker Perry born in Wolfe County, Kentucky on May 10, 1940. She was a registered nurse, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by three sons, Thomas Lee Banks and wife, Cloie of Campton, Kentucky, Victor Arnett, Sr. and wife, Susan of Hazel Green, Kentucky and Rev. Johnny Benjamin of Campton, Kentucky; one daughter, Debra Ligon - Louden of Burlington, Kentucky; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and one brother, J.C. Perry of Campton, Kentucky. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Schafer; her parents, Leander and Autina Shoemaker Perry; seven brothers, Lovely "Dud" Perry, Charlie Perry, Houchin Perry, Glen Perry, Corbett Perry, Dillard Perry and Clyde Perry and four sisters, Dottie Barker, Rebecca Center, Dovie Brewer and Mary Tolson. She also leaves behind a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
