Richard, 60, of Leslie, MI. passed away March 6, 2015 with his family by his side. Rick was born to Garth M. & Geraldine Brownlee.
On March 2, 1974 he married his wife of 41 years, Pennie Parker. Rick farmed with his father until 1977 when he began driving truck. He spent many years hauling grain before driving for Rybicki Trucking. (He also taught his wife to drive a semi).
Rick enjoyed baseball, raising beef cattle, and farming. He was a member of the Eden United Brethren Church.
Memories were shared at the funeral by his son, which reflected the fun the family had; the sense of humor held by Rick; the work ethic entrusted to the children; and some of the pranks pulled off by Rick.
Rick is survived by his wife Pennie, sons James (Lindsey) Brownlee of Charlotte, Ricky Brownlee of Leslie, and daughter Dawn (Adam) Fogg also of Leslie; grandchildren Adriana, Carter & Logan; brother Larry (Cynthia) Brownlee and sister Sheri Lee (Dave) Dunsmore, both of Leslie.
Funeral Service were held at Eden United Brethren Church, Mason, MI. on Wednesday, March 11, 2015, officiated by Rev. Milan Maybee, a former pastor. Mrs. Margaret Maybee played the prelude music. Tami Porter sang "The Old Rugged Cross", one of Rick's favorites. A dinner was served after the service.
In lieu of flowers donations in Rick's memory can be made to the Eden United Brethren Church of Mason, MI. But many, many flowers were present at the funeral.
