Bernard G. Jarek, age 73, passed away Nov. 12, 2009, in Los Angeles, Calif. Bernie was born May 8, 1936, in Bonduel, Wis.
He graduated from Washington High School in Two Rivers. Bernie received a B.A. from UCLA and an M.B.A. from USC. He began his career at Dun & Bradstreet as a C.P.A. and corporate controller for over forty years. Bernie enjoyed symphony, classic movies, UCLA sports and spending time with friends playing golf, poker or relaxing at his weekend home in Lake Arrowhead.
He is survived by four sisters: Janice Neff, Clarice Hughes, Diane Fricke and Bernadine Jarek; and one brother, Donald Jarek; as well as 15 nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Nadine Wetenkamp; his father, Bernard, and mother, Helen. Bernie was a kind and charitable man who will be missed dearly.
Cremation has taken place and entombment of the cremated remains will be at Knollwood Memorial Chapel. A memorial service was held in Los Angeles, Calif. A private memorial service for the family will be held at a later date.
