She was born March 16, 1962, in Bellefonte, a daughter of Wayne A. and Betty M. Pressler Winter who survive in Aaronsburg.
Jackie was a 1980 graduate of Penns Valley Area High School.
She was employed in by the Penns Valley Area School District for over 30 years, and had served as the church secretary for St. Peter’s United Church of Christ in Aaronsburg for many years.
Purple Pansies were her favorite flowers. She also enjoyed cats and collecting snowmen figures, but most important to her was spending time with her son Tyler; and her work with the school district.
Surviving Jackie in addition to her parents is her son Tyler A. S. Shawver of Spring Mills: two brothers Anthony “Tony” W. Winter of Aaronsburg and Patrick B. Winter and his companion Deb of Coburn; her former husband Stephen Shawver and his daughters Cassie Gouty and Christina Ciambotti, and her nephew Erik Winter.
Friends will be received from 4 – 7 p.m. Thursday, July 25, 2013, at St. Luke Lutheran Church, 301 N. Pennsylvania Ave. Centre Hall. The funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. at the church with the Reverend S. Leigh Pick officiating. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family, in the Reformed and Lutheran Cemetery in Aaronsburg.
