William Brown, aged 58 years, living at 1535 North Nineteenth street, died suddenly yesterday of heart failure, while on his way to work at the Union Pacific shops.
Mr. Brown came to Omaha twenty-nine years ago from La Porte, Ind., and entered the service of the Union Pacific company under Robert McConnell at the shops, where he was, up to the time of his death, foreman of the machinists' department.
He was born in Manchester, England, and came to this country when a boy of 13 years with his parents.
He leaves a wife and two children, William Jr., chief clerk of the distributing department at the post office, and Mrs. William H. Gould, Jr.

The funeral of William Brown will be held at his late residence, 1535 North Nineteenth, this afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment at Forest Lawn. Friends invited.
