Fred R. Vaughn, a resident of Hartford for the past 42 years, died Friday evening in the Newman Memorial County Hospital in Emporia.
Mr. Vaughn was born July 8, 1875, in Wyoming, Iowa. He and his brother, Harry Vaughn, came to Hartford in 1906 and purchased a farm in the Eagle Creek district. He married Roverta Channell, Nov. 15, 1911.
He is survived by his wife of the home, one daughter, Mrs. Clottis Phillips, of Tulsa, Okla. and two grandchildren, Charles Phillips and Charlotte Phillips, of Tulsa, Okla.
He was a member of the Hartford Methodist Church.
