Obituary from the Edwardsville Intelligencer, Edwardsville, Madison County, Illinois, Thursday, November 4, 1965, page 13:
  Collinsville, IL--Funeral services for William Weckmann, 70, will be conducted Friday morning at 10:30 from the Herbert A. Kassly Funeral Home. Mr. Weckmann died at 12:20 p.m. Wednesday at his home, 401 W. Washington Ave., following a year's illness.
  A native of Glen Carbon, he had resided in Collinsville 32 years. Mr. Weckmann had been employed 18 years at the Granite City Army Depot until his retirement in 1959. He was a member of Musician Union Local 350 and WWI Veterans Barracks 2215.
  Survivors are his wife, Sarah E.; three daughters, Mrs. Paul (Lorraine) Gaughan of Granite City, Mrs. Hollis (Dolores) Speer and Mrs. Matthew (Margaret) Bretz, both of Belleville; a stepson, George E. Abram of Glen Carbon; a brother and sister, John Weckmann and Mrs. Elizabeth Abbott of Granite City; and 12 grandchildren.
  Mr. Weckmann's parents are the late Peter and Theresa Wipperman Weckmann.
  Friends may call after 3 p.m. today at the funeral home. The Rev. Russell Miller, assistant pastor of St. John's Evangelical Church, will officiate at the funeral. Burial will be in the Glen Carbon Cemetery.
