Mrs. Ferdinand Quade of Stratford, mother of Fred Quade of this city, died at her home Monday morning at the age of sixty years, death being due to a complication of diseases. She was born in Germany in 1856 and came to the town of Berlin, Marathon county, with her parents at an early age, where she grew to womanhood. Her husband is a blacksmith by trade and formerly conducted shops at Wausau and Marathon City. Twenty years ago he accepted employment as blacksmith for the Connor company at Stratford, since which time her home was in that village. A few years ago, on account of his age, he gave up blacksmithing, and is now doing lighter work for that company.
Besides her husband, three sons and two daughters survive her. They are Fred, Marshfield; Conrad, Antigo; Robert, Laona; Mrs. W. J. Shreve, Sioux Falls, S.D. and Miss Delia, Stratford.
The funeral will be held from the Stratford Lutheran church this afternoon.
