Kathryn J. Dorey, age 91 of 1231 South 7th Street, Manitowoc died Friday, March 6, 2015 at her residence.
Kathryn was born on November 16, 1923 in Green Bay, daughter of the late Samuel and Frances (Wilbur) Stevens. She grew up and attended schools in the Green Bay area graduating with the class of 1942 from Green Bay East High School. Kathryn enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard and served from 1943 until 1945 during WWII. She moved to Manitowoc in 1947 and on January 14, 1966 was married to Leroy Dorey in Manitowoc. She was a 51 year member of the American Legion Drews-Blesser Post #88.
Survivors include her husband: Leroy Dorey, Manitowoc; one son and daughter-in-law: Steven (Lori) Holtz, Manitowoc; 8 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter: Kathryn Basler; 1 brother; and 6 sisters: one great-great grandchild.
According to Kathryn's wishes no funeral services will be held. Entombment of her cremated remains will take place at Knollwood Mausoleum.
