Mrs. Koelkenbeck Passes Away
Mrs. H. Koelkenbeck, widow of the late Herman Koelkenbeck, well known barber of Ashcroft some years ago, died in New Westminster on Wednesday morning last. The funeral took place there on Friday, her daughter, Mrs. W. Adam of Ashcroft going down to attend the burial.
Mrs. Koelkenbeck came to Ashcroft with her husband and family in the early years of the century, having been first located at Spences Bridge. Her husband died in Ashcroft a few years ago. She was a native of Germany, and is survived by two sons, Herman, of Vancouver, and Arthur, of Los Angeles, California; and four daughters, Mrs. W. Adam, of Ashcroft; Mrs. Waddell of Copper Mountain; Mrs. Douglas, of Yakima, Washington; and Mrs. Tyler, of Los Angeles, California.
