As an infant William Elsworth Watson to Osborne County in Kansas with his parents Granville Watson and Emma C (Reeves) Watson. There, the family remained on their farm.

Mr. Watson was well known and loved by his community. He spent his childhood and early manhood in and around Osborne as a farmer.

In 1900 at the age of 23, Mr. Watson married (his first cousin) Francis (Anderson) Watson of Osborne Kansas. In 1920 his wife Francis died after giving birth to their 5-children: Granville, Emma Louise, Clifford R, Russell and Bonnie L).

On August 1921 (widowed) Mr. Watson married his second wife (widowed) Mrs. Effie (Steward) Cordwell of Tipton. Together they had 1-daughter: Blanche Elaine Watson.

Leaving the farm in 1922 William entered the produce business. He operated produce houses in Tipton, Logan and Ellis Kansas.

(Added:) By 1923 William's daughter (Bonnie) was adopted by Mr. and Mrs. John Carlin of Covert Kansas. His son (Russell) went to live with his widowed grandma Emma C (Reeves) Watson on her farm in Osborne County. His son Clifford remained home with his father William and new step mother Effie. His oldest daughter (Emma Louisa) was living with her husband Theodore Earl Bomhoff and their daughters (in Ellis Kansas). And, William's first born child Granville died during his infancy in 1902.

(Continuing obit:) In 1927 William sold his produce business and accepted a contract with KT Oil Corporation of Wichita Kansas. Purchasing a camp site near by he built what is known as Camp Seclusion. This being his occupation at the time of his demise.

(Leading to his death:) On 10 January 1933 William Elsworth Watson and Mr. Fox were witnesses in a lawsuit. While returning home from their Stockton hearing on the 11th, their vehicle blew a tire while climbing uphill near Hays (at 7:30PM). William was thrown from the vehicle and suffered major head injuries when the vehicle rolled. Early in the morning on 12 January 1933 William Elsworth Watson died at the St. Anthony's Hospital located in Hays Kansas.

Left to mourn was Mr. Watson's wife Effie (Steward) Watson, his heart broken widowed mother Emma C (Reeves) Watson and his 5-living children (from 2-marriages): Mrs. Emma Louise (Watson) Bomhoff of Ellis, Clifford R Watson of Salina, Russell Watson of Osborne, Mrs. Bonnie Laretta (Watson) Carlin Locke of Covert and Blanche Elaine Watson. His two sisters Mrs. Chas Henry and Mrs. Frank Collins and three bothers Asa Watson, Bob (Robert) Watson and Bert (Albert) Watson all of Osborne, Kansas.

Preceding Mr. Watson in death was his first born son Granville Watson whom died durning his infancy, his father Granville Watson, one sister Zora (Watson) Henry, one brother Eddie Watson and Mr. Watson's first wife Francis (Anderson) Watson.

Funeral Services were held at the Methodist church on the afternoon on 13 January 1933. Rev E L Brooks delivered the funeral sermon. Interment was made in the family lot in the Osborne Cemetery. (Added:) There, William Elsworth Watson shares a headstone with his second wife Effie (Stewart) Watson.
