The year of birth is approximate, being inferred from from his age 91 years at the time of his death and must be verified. If he was born on or before June 2 then the year of his birth would be 1795.

The dates on his tombstone perhaps are wrong because they do not match Eleanor Robertson dates on the "History of the Firth Family."
Also the 1871 census tells us that his wife Elizabeth is a widow (70) & living with daughter Hannah.
