Louise B. Jewett, 92, of Rochester Road, a teacher, bookkeeper for Middleport Tractor and a postal clerk, died Saturday (Aug. 29, 1998) in Medina Memorial Healthcare System after a brief illness.
The former Louise Bausch was born in Buffalo. She taught school from 1933 to 1940 in Long Island and worked as a clerk at the Middleport Post Office.
She was a member of Middleport United Methodist Church and was active in church functions.
Mrs. Jewett volunteered for the Middleport Free Library and enjoyed flower gardening and doing crossword puzzles.
Survivors include her husband, Wilber E.; a daughter, Carol Rundgren of Camarillo, Calif.; a sister, Matilda Smith of Brockport; and two stepgrandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Bates, Wallace & Heath Funeral Home, 38 State St., Middleport. Burial will be in Hartland Central Cemetery.
